Vermont’s Woodstock Farmers Market

Many farmers markets pop up in the summer time and are gone by October. We’re fortunate here, because the Woodstock Farmers Market is open year-round. And not only that, but it’s a fabulous place to hang out!Photo of rows of fresh veggies with rd and green cabbages in the foreground.

Woodstock Farmers Market is really more of an all-around community gathering spot that has a market and cafe, and hosts all kinds of cool events. The Market has always been about offering the best local farmers and vendors a venue for their products, and giving the people of the area a wonderful resource for great food. They’ve succeeded masterfully.

Head over to the Woodstock Farmer’s Market on any day and you’ll find a feast of fresh local produce, even in the dead of winter; a fabulous seafood and meat department; a chockfull grocery department; and a garden center that flourishes through the seasons.

One of the delights of the market is the kitchen and its amazing sandwiches. If you’re heading out hiking, they’ll put together a box lunch with a sandwich, side, dessert and drink. Salads, hot lunches and dinners are also available. And the Market’s Bakery can satisfy a sweet craving with a super-rich brownie or other baked treat.

In keeping with the community spirit of the place, the Market hosts events, such as two upcoming meet-and-greets with area suppliers. Stop by on July 29, 2016 and you can try one of Burlington Beer Company’s creative quaffs. On July 30, Silo
Distillery will bring their crafted spirits for a tasting.
