Dashing Through The Vermont Snow On A Sleigh Ride

There are a few iconic winter activities every native and visitor needs to try. And near the top is to take a sleigh ride. Bundled in blankets for warm and pulled by a team of handsome horses, it is one of winter’s great pleasures, and a wonderful way to enjoy the snow. Inn guests will find two great options nearby.A sleigh filled with two guests and the driver being pulled through the snow by two large work horses.

Kedron Valley Stables in South Woodstock offers sleigh rides for singles or groups that last 45 minutes to an hour, and take you through fields and woods, providing pretty country views. All rides begin at the Green Mountain Horse Association’s facility just down the road from the stables.

These tall, strong and handsome animals are also easy-going, all great traits for leading treks through the snow.
